Just the other day I was talking to a friend about our trackable QR codes and he brought up the idea of creating a QR code for dog collar tags and how they would be very useful. After listening to his explanation I couldn’t help but tell you about this. We figured that by placing a QR code on your dogs collar instead of his name will allow the user to scan and get information directly placed in your phone using a vcard QR code.
On our site you can create a vcard QR code however instead of putting your name on it put your dogs name and then generate that puppy. Now you have a QR code for your pet. This is a great way to allow people who are too scared to approach a viscous lost dog just by taking a picture of it instead of trying to read its collar.
If you made a QR code that brought you to a website for your dog you could even provide more information and track who scanned your dogs QR code. Just imagine your dog will never have to worry again and he will look futuristic walking around the neighborhood with a QR code on its neck.
Funny enough after I wrote this post I found a QR code dog collar…
