Recently over coffee I was talking to a friend about QR codes and she came up with this brilliant idea on how Qr codes should be used on name tags. By placing a QR code on a name tag it will allow you to scan the QR code and get information about that person programmed into your phone from a single quick scan of the code. QR codes on name tags cut down the number of cards that need to be passed out and prevents people from miss typing any hard to spell names or contact details that are important.
In order to produce a contact detail QR code also known as a vcard or a mecard you are going to need to login in to your Orange QR account. Click on 2d barcode selection to create Qr codes. Then select the extra’s drop down menu from the 2d barcode submenu and click on vcard or mecard depending on how much information you want to share. We recommend using the one which lets you share the most information so when someone scans your QR code from a name tag they will be able to know things like your website, phone number and even address of your business so they could use their built in phones navigation in order to get there.
Once you have created your QR code for your name tag you can either print if off on a sticker that can be placed on your name tag or you can implement it on one your company currently has. By having Qr codes built for your name tags you will never have to worry about handing out your last card because someone can always give you a scan and have your information in their cell phones contacts.
